Luis Ortiz

Luis Ortiz- Malak Corp

President

As chief executive officer and president of Malak Corporation, Mr Ortiz’s responsibilities include executive management, strategic business planning, personnel resource management and overall business leadership. Mr. Ortiz, founded Malak Corporation in March 2003, becoming one of the youngest Executives within the Construction Industry. He has more than 10 years of major project experience in General Contracting, Project Engineering, Construction Management, and Design-Build services.

EDUCATION: He has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a Master’s of Science in Engineering and an MBA in Operation’s Management. Mr Ortiz has attended the following schools:

Mike Cutler

Vice President of Estimating and Operations

Mike Cutler is Vice President of Estimating and Operations of Malak Corporation, one of Central Florida’s leading Construction companies. Mr. Cutler has worked in the construction industry since 2001 and began his management career in 2004 as one of the youngest and brightest managers in the construction industry. Mr. Cutler currently serves as Vice President of Estimating & Operations and is responsible for project management, field operations, equipment and fleet management, and pre-construction. He interfaces directly with all management staff, superintendents and office personnel in the daily execution of each project. Mr. Cutler is an expert at developing conceptual budgets as well as final estimates.

Emmanuel Ortiz

Corporate Controller

Emmanuel Ortiz is Executive Vice President and the Chief Financial Officer of Malak Corporation, one of Central Florida’s leading Construction companies. As CFO, Mr. Ortiz is responsible for overall financial management of the company, its financial reporting and legal compliance, and for multiple corporate functions including Controller, Forecasting, Auditing, Insurance, Payroll, Tax and Strategic Planning.

EDUCATION: He has a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance with an MBA in Strategic Management. Mr Ortiz has attended the following schools:
– University of South Florida – School of Business (Corporate Finance)
– University of Central Florida – Graduate School of Business (Strategic Management)

Mr. Ortiz serves on the Board of Directors for Gate of Heaven Church and GOH Community Services

Francisco Vasquez

Project Coordinator and Lead Estimator

Francisco Vasquez is the Lead estimator and Project Coordinator of Malak Corporation, one of Central Florida’s leading Construction companies. As Project Coordinator, Mr. Vasquez is a integral member of the project team responsible for delivering building development projects of varying size and complexity. He is responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project activities, under the direction of the Project Executive. Francisco has over 15 years in HME, Logistics and Distribution management working for various companies including Fortune 500 companies. Also has an exceptional record from the United States Marine Corps where he was was Honorably discharged as a Corporal.

Bill Hughes

Human Resources & Benefits Manager

Bill Hughes is our Human resource and benefits Manager with Malak Corporation, one of Central Florida’s leading construction companies. Bill dedicated the first 16 years of his adult life to public service. Through his years of service in both the military and law enforcement he learned the importance of teamwork. Over the years his passion for helping others grew stronger and became a focal point in his life. After many years of public service Bill transitioned his career to focus on serving the business community. He started the transition in the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) industry as a Human resources and benefits coordinator by helping business owners outsource payroll, HR, workers compensation & benefits. During his time in the PEO industry he gained knowledge and experience in health insurance, payroll, risk management, human resources and outsourcing.

Alfredo Vega

Project Manager

Alfredo Vega is a Project Manager with Malak Corporation, one of Central Florida’s leading construction companies. Mr. Vega has worked in the construction industry since 2002. He advanced through the years obtaining a State of Florida Certified Building Contractors License and a AHERA Asbestos Contractor Certification, Mr. Vega is responsible for project management, vendor & client communications, cost control, project coordination, assisting with budgets and schedules in Malak’s residential construction division.

Tim Boggs

Project Manager

Tim Boggs has been in the HVAC industry since 1993. In 1995 he completed his sheet metal worker’s apprenticeship with the local union.  In the late 90’s he served as a lead mechanic and foreman on many projects throughout Central Florida including working all over the country in places such as Minnesota, Tennessee, Alabama, Ohio, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Georgia to work on major projects that included Hospitals, Arenas, Hotels, Industrial and Manufacturing plants. Tim has worked as a Project Engineer, Quality Control manager, Estimator, Chief Estimator, Pre-Construction Manager, and Project Manager. Today Tim serves as one of Malak’s outstanding project managers working in Pre-Design concept through construction completion.  He services our clients well, with Due-Diligence, Value Engineering, Field and BIM coordination, Creative Scheduling, Design Build assistance, and Quality control.
